Winner of seven Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director, the film is based on a true story and adapted from Thomas Keneally’s 1982 award-winning book which recounts how Oskar Schindler, a German businessman, overcame unbelievable odds to protect and then rescue more than 1,100 Jews from the Holocaust during World War II.
