Harvard Botanical Museum 16mm Film Collection

Early in the history of motion pictures the medium of film was recognized for its invaluable uses in education, utilizing the medium's ability to communicate information and expand upon complex ideas and topics. This collection of forty-five 16mm educational films, donated by the Tozzer Library at Harvard University in 2012, focuses on the topics of agriculture, ethnography, and history. The films were created between 1943 and 1978 and used as educational tools for students in Harvard classrooms.
