Join us for an evening of short vintage films celebrating the Christmas season. The Howard E. Burr Collection has added numerous short films to the HFA’s ever-growing collection of film. Doc Burr’s passion was for classic Hollywood features, but he also amassed a large collection of complementary short films, which he organized thematically. Tonight’s films hail mostly from his esoteric collection and include a short musical film from Newfoundland, a thoughtful and somewhat melancholy film told from the point of view of a tree, a number of cartoons, a reel of theatrical advertisements and holiday greetings, as well as a short feature to complete the program.

This program is appropriate for children and adults and is free to all.
