ACCESSIBILITY

The Harvard Film Archive can be entered via the accessible main entrance of the Carpenter Center. For those who cannot take the stairs, please use the elevator located beyond the double doors on the right side of the gallery and to the right of the loading dock. A wheelchair is available for use by patrons by request on the first floor near the security desk. Three hearing assisted headsets are also available for audience use. Currently, the HFA cannot support closed captioning or descriptive audio.

If you have questions about accessibility at the Harvard Film Archive, or if you would like to speak to an HFA staff member about accessibility needs prior to an event, please email Alexandra Vasile or Sidney Dritz. While advance communication is certainly not required, it may help us be better prepared to offer the best experience possible.

All visitors are asked to practice preventive hygiene and urged not to attend events if feeling ill or exhibiting Covid symptoms.

The HFA policy forbidding eating and drinking in the theater remains in place.

ENHANCED HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

The Carpenter Center’s air filtration system has been upgraded with Merv 13 filters and the staff have implemented enhanced and more frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces and restrooms.
