De la Iglesia chronicles the lives of comedians Nino and Bruno, who grow increasingly angry with each other the more successful they become. Parallels to real-life entertainers Martin and Lewis and Abbot and Costello are obvious, but de la Iglesia is at his most scathing in his hilarious send-ups of Spanish variety shows.
